We will use the formula for potential energy in order to calculate Molecule Man’s energy projection.

NUMBER CRUNCHING

The calculations involve calculating how much energy projection it would take to remove the mountain off the ground, and how much it would take to drop the mountain on the heroes. Calculating a lift force for a mountain would be complex. For the interest of simplicity, we will only calculate the kinetic energy for transporting the mountain across 10 km and the potential energy before dropping it on the heroes.

KE = 1/2mv^2 = (1/2)(150*10^12 kg)(10^8 m/s) = 7.5*10^21 J.

PE = mgh = (150*10^12 kg)(9.81 m/s^2)(160934 m) = 2.3681438*10^20 J.

Total Energy = 7.7368144*10^21 J.

ENERGY PROJECTION

Molecule Man lifted a mountain, transported it across Battleworld within moments, hovered it 100 miles above the heroes and dropped it on them.

Molecule Man generated 7.7368144*10^21 Joules of energy. Assuming Battleworld is roughly the size of Earth, Molecule Man had to generate a Planetary Level of Energy Projection.
