In reality, Mark Grayson is the hybrid son of Nolan Grayson. Indeed, he was born from his Viltrumite father and his Earth mother. Before, Mark thought his father was a writer who traveled frequently.

At age seven, Nolan Grayson reveals he is Omni-Man. As matter of fact, he comes from the planet Viltrum and is originally on a mission to advance Earth. But, the World Betterment Committee loses interest in Earth for being too underdeveloped, and Nolan finally lives on Earth.
