THE BEST MANGAKAS
To begin, the art is cartoon style and indie. The artist on the graphic novel is Stan Sakai. With the writer and artist, the first TMNT/Usagi crossover occurred in the animated series in 1989. In the story, the artist’s pencils with cartoon-like physiques in full coloring make the novel a true present.
Certainly, the indie matches the cartoon tone of the Yojimbo universe. In addition, the coloring is a highlight in Part Two. And the battle ensembles create the sense of seriousness and humor. Notably, the characters’ colorful appearances and simple facial expressions have added comedy. Nevertheless, the indie excels at action, dialogue and the panel on the left shows the artist’s mastery!
