In the Thor: Love and Thunder post-credit scenes, Hercules makes his first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And Hercules is set to carry out Zeus’ revenge on Thor. In the comics, Hercules has had many space-faring adventures. In Hercules: Prince of Power, the Lion of Olympus stars in his first four-issue mini-series.
This April 12th, in Marvel history, the Hercules: Prince of Power Trade Paperback is published and we list important first appearances.
HERCULES IS EXILED FROM OLYMPUS
In Hercules: Prince of Power (1982), artist and writer Bob Layton tells one of the most important stories in Marvel history. For decades, Hercules has been a regular feature character in the Thor series. In the collected series, Hercules stars in his first four-issue mini-series and goes on space-faring adventures. Perhaps, one of the most comedic Marvel cosmic stories. According to Comichron, neither Diamond nor Capital published end-of-year sales reports in the 1980s until 1984.

BLACK PANTHER MAKES HIS DEBUT
In Fantastic Four (1966) #52, Black Panther makes his first appearance. In the issue, Black Panther invites the Fantastic Four in the nation of Wakanda. Importantly, Wakanda and vibranium also make their first appearances. Moreover, the comic format is also valuable for the Jack Kirby cover featuring the ensemble cast with Black Panther and the Fantastic Four.
Certainly, Red Skull is a historic character in Marvel comics. After making appearances in World War II flashback stories, Red Skull makes his first appearance to attack Captain America in the present-day in the Silver Age Tales of Suspense (1966) #79. With a Fine collectible, the two-parter also gives the first appearance of the Cosmic Cube. Indeed, showing Captain America is The First Avenger.
In 2018, Marvel Comics relaunched their comics with Fresh Start. Importantly, the comic changed the Legacy heroes and restored the classic heroes such as Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk or Thor. With the relaunch, their origins were restored and the important marriage between Spider-Man and Mary Jane was resumed.
This April 4th, in Marvel history, we remember the resurrection of Phoenix in Avengers vs. X-Men (2012) and list important Phoenix hosts this month.
PHOENIX IS RESTORED
In Avengers vs X-Men (2012) #1, Brian Michael Bendis tells one of the most popular stories in Marvel history. For decades, the Avengers and the X-Men have been Marvel’s top superteams and a collision between the peace-keeping force and the mutant liberators has been inevitable. In the issue, the Phoenix Force comes to Earth in search of Hope Summers and it appears she has restored herself from her fragments since X-Men: Phoenix Warsong (2007). In issue #0, Phoenix makes a cameo appearance. According to Comichron, the issue is a bestseller with pre-order sales of 203,181 in March 2012.

THE PHOENIX FIVE EMERGE
InAvengers vs X-Men (2012) #5, the Phoenix Five make their first appearance. In a knockout-dragout battle on the Blue Area of the moon, the Avengers battle the X-Men for Hope Summers. Importantly, the Phoenix Five who are Cyclops, Emma Frost, Colossus, Magik and Namor, emerge whenIron Man‘s Phoenix-Killer Armor explodes the cosmic fiery bird. Moreover, the comic format is also artistic for the Jim Cheung cover and the second round of the battle between the assembled Avengers vs X-Men.
Perhaps, in another tragic story, Phoenix dies at the end of the event in Avengers vs X-Men (2012) #12. Though the crossover event is a watershed moment for mutantkind, it leads to the Avengers Unity Division. At Marvel, the Avengers and the X-Men finally join forces to take on powers too great for either team to handle. Indeed, learning lessons from the Civil War.

HULK AND GIANT-MAN ARE THE STRONGEST AVENGERS
Today, we reveal a less-celebrated rivalry in Marveldom. This year, Quantumania was released with poor reviews and box office woes. At the same time, the movie raised Ant-Man’s case as The Strongest Avenger.
With the Pym Particles, Scott Lang and Hank Pym are able to shrink down to atomic scale or increase their size to infinity. Relevantly, in Mighty Avengers #30, Giant-Man is able to increase his size to Overspace, the hyperversal dimension of Eternity.
Though their rivalry is not well known, Hulk and Hank Pym have faced each other in various media. During the Silver Age, Giant-Man is a founding member of the Avengers who regularly goes toe-to-toe with the Jade Giant.
In Fantastic Four (1964) #25, occurs the first Hulk-Thing battle where the Jade Giant is destroying New York City looking for the Avengers. In Fantastic Four (1964) #26, the Hulk faces the FF and the Avengers. Incredibly, Giant-Man defeats Hulk with his ants.
With Hank’s fall from grace during the Copper Age, the rivalry recedes. Recently, with the conclusion of Immortal Hulk, Hulk is now the Incredible Hulk. Though no longer an immortal, the series continues the horror-filled theme.
Let’s look at how Hulk and Giant-Man compare in super strength.
In 2006, Ultimate Avengers: The Movie is released on television. Perhaps, one of the most popular Marvel animation to date with great visual imagery and brutal animation.
Moreover, the movie is notable for one of the most popular battles in Marvel animation. After the Avengers stop the Chitauri alien invasion, they must deal with an out-of-control Hulk. In a vicious battle, the monster deals a severe beatdown on the Avengers.
Importantly, it features one of the best head-to-heads between Hulk and Giant-Man. Though they may match in strength and Hulk outmatched in size, the Jade Giant’s unlimited rage makes him an opponent difficult to put down by physical force.
In the end, it is Hulk’s love interest Betty Ross who distracts Hulk long enough for the serum Captain America shoots to take effect and calm him.

Really, Thor: Ragnarok (2017) may be the most celebrated Thor movie. As the third entry in the franchise, it is the second-best reviewed Thor movie and the highest-grossing internationally.
Perhaps, one of its best celebrated moments is the Hulk-Fenris vicious battle underwater. When the Asgardians attempting to flee are cornered by Fenris on one side and the villainous army on the other, Hulk rises to the occasion to protect them.
In a vicious battle, Hulk and Fenris exchange blows on the Rainbow Bridge and underwater. With powerful magical fangs, the Giant Wolf even draws blood from the Jade Giant causing a gasp of pain. Though Hulk emerges triumphant.
Considering Fenris was destroying the Rainbow Bridge with its claws during its charge, and Thor’s hammer which destroyed the Rainbow Bridge can withstand planetary alignment, Hulk’s feat is at least Multi-Planetary Level in Super-Strength.
Gloriously, Avengers: Endgame (2019) showcases a replication of a fan-favorite Hulk scene. During the climactic battle at the end of the movie, Thanos and his army invade Earth against the assembled Avengers.
Though the feat is not exactly the same as Hulk, it shows Giant-Man is in the same Strength-Class as Hulk. Similarly, we rate the feat to be around Mountain-Level in Super Strength.
COMIC: HULK CAN PUNCH THROUGH TIME
In The Incredible Hulk (1971) #135, Hulk performs a super strength feat. Hulk punches through time to World War I. Marvel Comics.
For the most part, Hulk has gone through different incarnations over the comic book ages. During the Bronze Age, Hulk was in top form. Though his power regularly fluctuated, the Jade Giant seemed to have higher peaks.
For the most part, Giant-Man is actually stronger than Hulk. With the Pym Particles, he can grow to infinite size and reach Overspace where Eternity dwells. Properly, his Super Strength-Level is Hyperversal.
In our article, we list 4 important Batman v. Superman stills inspired from DC comics. Today, we celebrate the anniversary of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice released on March 25th 2016.
Below, you can see our Top 4 stills from the movie.
4. KRYPTONITE GRENADE/ARROW
In his interview with BlackTree TV in 2016, Zack Snyder revealed that Batman v. Superman is inspired from the legendary The Dark Knight Returns (1986) graphic novel by revolutionary author and artist Frank Miller. In the final issue of the comic,Superman takes on Batman.
Unlike the comic, Batman fires a Kryptonite gas grenade at Superman with a Kryptonite Grenade Launcher whereas Green Arrow fires a Kryptonite arrow in the source material.
Though The Dark Knight Returns takes place on Earth-31, Zack Snyder also heavily influences from the New 52. In fact, even Superman’s powers may reveal a solar dependency weakness portrayed in the DC reboot. Similarly, the way the nuke affected Superman’s powers during the Superman vs Doomsday battle showed the Man of Steel shriveling up in a comatose state like in the New 52.
For her part, Wonder Woman makes a cameo appearance in the movie. Reminiscent to her New 52 battle against the Kryptonian creature in the valuableSuperman Doomed (2014) #1, Wonder Woman wounds Doomsday. Though the New 52 version was a planetary plague, the amputation causes city block-wide bioelectrical emission threatening even the Amazon.
2. FACE-OFF
Like the source material, Batman v. Superman is largely political intrigue. In the graphic novel, Batman has come out of retirement to bring justice to Gotham. However, the government sends Superman to bring him in due to his brand of justice.
In the movie, Batman (and Lex Luthor) seem to launch a legal argument against Superman and the Kryptonian invasion in Man of Steel (2013). For Batman, the only penalty for Superman’s presence on Earth is death.
1. SUPERMAN PULLING A SHIP/PLANETS
Cinematically, Zack Snyder is a visual storyteller who excels at slow-motion cinema. In fact, his comic book movies are inspired with panels from the source material.
Importantly, the movie features Superman performing heroics and feats worldwide. In a Silver Age nod, Superman pulls a capsized ship in the Arctic. Similarly, Superboy pulled planets on a chain in the rare Superboy (1967) #140.
This March 7th, in Marvel history, we remember The Death of Captain America and list important first appearances this month.
CAPTAIN AMERICA DIES AT THE END OF CIVIL WAR
In “The Death of the Dream,” Ed Brubaker tells one of the most important stories in Marvel history. For decades, Captain America has been a symbol of American liberty and his death was a news sensation that sent ripples across pop culture. According to Comichron, Captain America (2007) #25, is a bestseller with pre-order sales of 290,497 in March 2007.

THE FIRST APPEARANCE OF THE GRIM REAPER
InAvengers (1968) #52, the Avengers villain named the Grim Reaper makes his first appearance. In a Silver Age issue, Roy Thomas and John Buscema introduce the recurring villain who supposedly “KILLED the Avengers.”1 Importantly, the comic leads to Black Panther joining the super-team for the first time. Moreover, the comic format is also valuable for the John Buscema, Sam Rosen cover and the popular Avengers roster of Goliath, Wasp, Hawkeye, and inactive members Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch who are part of the important Cap’s Kooky Quartet.
Perhaps, one of the least celebrated John Byrne stories. Though West Coast Avengers was a success during the Copper Age, they did experiment with new heroes. At Marvel, the Great Lakes Avengers has a roster of Mr. Immortal, Flatman, Big Bertha, Dinah Soar, and Doorman. Together, they debut in West Coast Avengers (1989) #46. ‘Nuff said!
In Ultimate Spider-Man #1, Brian Michael Bendis debuts the Ultimate Universe, an alternate universe with Marvel heroes of updated origin stories for a new audience. With Secret Wars (2015), the Ultimate Universe came to an end despite its overwheling popularity. Nevertheless, it has resurfaced since Venom became King in Black.
This February 7th, in Marvel history, we celebrate Ultimate Spider-Man and list important first appearances this month.
ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN BECOMES A HERO
In Ultimate Spider-Man (2001) #6, Ultimate Spider-Man becomes a public hero. In the recent news, Daily Bugle Editor-in-Chief, J. J. Jonah Jameson celebrates Spider-Man’s heroism which is rare in the prime universe. Importantly, the events follow after the death of Uncle Ben and the rise of the Green Goblin.
DAZZLER MAKES HER FIRST APPEARANCE IN UNCANNY X-MEN #130
InUncanny X-Men (1979) #130, the pyrotechnic mutant named Dazzler makes her first appearance. In a classic issue by Chris Claremont and John Byrne, Cyclops, Phoenix and Nightcrawler are seeking out a mutant detected by Cerebro at a Manhattan dance club. Importantly, they cross paths with the Hellfire Club with important ramifications for Jean Grey.

IN THE COPPER AGE, X-FACTOR FORMS
Perhaps, one of the most popular X-Men series, X-Factor #1 debuted on 1986. In fact, Bob Layton laid the groundwork for the X-Men for years with the passing of the Mutant Registration Act. With an all new X-Men team posing as mercenaries, Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Beast, Angel and Iceman secretly recruited mutants to continue Professor X‘s dream.
Before, writer Roy Thomas gave us the Squadron Sinister, the Avengers’ true rivals and a pastiche of the Justice League. In Avengers (1971) #85, the Squadron Supreme makes its appearance on Earth-712. In part wacky, and in part turbulent, the Squadron Supreme is the enemy of the Avengers. Really, there isn’t a better match-up than Thor vs Hyperion!
With spots at Number 4, Numbers 2 and 1, Superman, Barry Allen and Wally West are the fastest DC heroes. Importantly, we compare Superman to the classic Barry Allen Flash to see how they match.
Both heroes have a historic rivalry that goes back to the Silver Age. In Superman (1967) #199, acclaimed writer Jim Shooter writes the first Superman-Flash race in DC continuity. In a charity race for the United Nations, Superman and Flash must circle the Earth three times to win. Importantly, the race ends in a tie due to interference by rival international gangs.
Recently, Superman and Flash race in Superman: Up In The Sky (2019) #4, for charity. In order to win, they must circle the Earth ten times. In the comic, Superman actually wins the race when he overhears Lex Luthor’s plot. Certainly, both heroes are competitors.
Let’s look at how Superman and Flash compare in super speed.
Moreover, the fourth episode of the second season, gave the fans the treat they deserved: the animated race between Superman and the Flash. In Metropolis, the competitors meet and the mayor tells them that the firs to race a 100 times around the Earth, will become The Fastest Man Alive.
In true DC Animated Universe fanfare, the episode is filled with comedy, fun and machinations from villains. Perhaps, one of the highlights of the entire series. Though both competitors are fierce, it seems the Flash has an edge. In fact, the episode ends on a cliffhanger.
In the end, both heroes continue their race and the winner is unclear.

Perhaps, one of its least celebrated moments is the Superman and Flash civilian scene. For minutes, Flash is headed eastwards searching for civilians. When Superman hears civilians are in danger, he heads in the same direction. In a few moments, Superman catches up to the Flash.
Though earlier scenes at the Superman Memorial, show the Flash is faster, Superman shows reflexes fast enough to keep up with the Scarlet Speedster. In fact, our next item reveals that both heroes are competitors for The Fastest Man Alive.
FILM: IN THE POST-CREDITS SCENE, SUPERMAN AND FLASH RACE
Gloriously, Justice League (2017) showcases a fan-favorite post-credits scene. In order to determine who is The Fastest Man Alive, Flash and Superman agree to race across the Pacific. The movie ends on a cliffhanger with the outcome of the race uncertain.
Though the DCEU Flash is known to be faster and even capable of turning back time, Superman can escape the pull of a black hole and has the advantage with flying. Certainly, fans know Flash is The Fastest Man Alive.
COMIC: ON EARTH, SUPERMAN REACHES SUPERSONIC SPEEDS
Importantly, Superman flies at supersonic speeds on Earth and can circle the planet in a few moments. However, he is able to go FTL in space.
COMIC: FLASH RACES FTL
In JLA (2003) #89, Flash evacuates 532000 men and women from Chongjin destroyed in a nuclear explosion FTL. DC Comics.
For the most part, Superman and Flash are challengers. However, Flash can run at light speeds on Earth. In Flashpoint (2011), Barry ran so fast that he turned back time and created an alternate DC multiverse leading to the New 52.

Critically, One-Punch Man, Vol. 1 (1) is the exhilarating debut of the popular manga superhero. In fact, the comic contains seven chapters that details the adventures of Saitama as he becomes a superhero in Z-City.
Together, author One and artist Yusuke Murata collaborate on the ground-breaking volume. Really, the writing shines on the comedy and pastiche of the character. Indeed, the art in the book is the best of contemporary manga: black and white, thick lines and action-oriented.
Indeed, share this comic to fans of Comic-Con, One-Punch Man and on the occasions of birthdays. Definitely, it is worth its price and will leave you wanting for more One-Punch Man!

PRODUCT FEATURE #2
This manga has another feature. One good feature of this comic is that it is available in Kindle & Comixology format.
To begin, the success of One-Punch Man, Vol. 1 (1) stems from its initial popularity and its pastiche. Originally, the manga started as a popular webcomic before being adapted into print. Then, it was adapted into animation with One-Punch Man Season 1 and Season 2.
Really, the manga has become a pop-culture phenomenon. Last year, we successfully promoted a Goku vs One-Punch Man article.
The manga is good for your One-Punch Man collection. The ShonenJump is pocket-sized and fits neatly inside your pants. The cover and art are typical manga though the action scenes are impressive. Importantly, the superhero pastiche makes for an entertaining read.

SPECTRE IS THE SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE OF THE PRESENCE
Spectre (Aztar). DC Comics.
In More Fun Comics (1940) #52, the Spectre made his first appearance in the Pre-Crisis continuity. In the origin story, the Spirit of Vengeance is a New York City police officer named Jim Corrigan.
As the Spirit of Vengeance, the Presence tasks the Spectre with exacting vengeance on evil men. Moreover, Spectre is a founding member of the Justice Society of America. The JSA makes its debut in All Star Comics (1940) #3.
However, the outcome turns out completely different with a new universe created. Really, Spectre is dependent on the Presence and is as strong as the being allows him to be.
OVERPOWERED, SPECTRE CAN CREATE A UNIVERSE
In Crisis on Infinite Earths (1986) #10, only five Earths remain after the destruction of the multiverse: Earth-One, Earth-Two, Earth-Four, Earth-S and Earth-X.
In a final attempt to destroy the positive matter multiverse, Anti-Monitor time travels to the Dawn of Time. There, he intends to view the beginning of time and destroy all reality.
At the Dawn of Time, the heroes and the mages of the DC multiverse are assembled to stop the enemy. There, Spectre appears, channels their combined powers and reaches into Anti-Monitor’s Hand of creation.
Though he fails from preventing Anti-Monitor to contemplate Krona‘s experiment on the DC Universe, he nevertheless succeeds in creating a new universe. With his reality-warping powers, Spectre dies and creates the New Earth continuity.
In this comparison, with the power of five Earths, Spectre is evidently Multiversal-Level in Energy Projection, and ranks below the Source.
Some of Spectre’s powers include: Nigh-omniscience, energy projection, dimensional travel, immortality, flight, intangibility, metamorphosis, super-strength, size alteration and reality-warping at the Multiversal-Level.

Philosophically, Spectre is God’s Wrath. In DC Pre-Crisis mythology, Spectre is a fallen angel named Aztar. After the fall of angels, he repented before Heaven, and the Presence erased his identity, bonding him to God’s Wrath.
Since Spectre is a ghost and has no memory of his evil past, he needs a human host in order to help him exact the Vengeance of the Presence. Regularly, Jim Corrigan is the most common Spectre human host.
In Day of Vengeance (2005) #2, Eclipso, who is also an aspect of God’s Wrath convinces Spectre that the cause of evil in the DC Universe is magic. Moreover, the Guardians of the Universe had to contain magic with the Starheart, in order to bring order to the universe.
After, Spectre goes through the DC Universe destroying magic, eventually going mano-a-mano against Captain Marvel.
In a philosophical sense, Spectre is God’s Wrath because he seeks vengeance for evil in the universe. Also, he seeks redemption for his own past.

WHY SPECTRE IS AN OVERPOWERED BEING
HIS OMNISCIENCE EXTENDS TO THE OMNIVERSE
Perhaps, Spectre’s most impressive feats occur in the fan-voted DC Versus Marvel (1996) inter-company crossover.
In Marvel Versus DC (1996) #2, the two Brothers representing both franchises awaken to renew their abstract battle. To find out whose universe survives, their heroes must do battle.
In the issue, the Spectre and Living Tribunal both use their nigh-omniscience to see beyond and over to the Omniverse.
In Avengers (2021) #41, Black Panther faces Man-Thing in gladiatorial combat. Marvel Comics.
IN MARTIAL ARTS
*To celebrate Black Panther: Wakanda Forever we publish this article on Marvel’s top two martial artists.
BLACK PANTHER AND CAPTAIN AMERICA ARE MARVEL’S TOP TWO MARTIAL ARTISTS
Today, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever releases with great celebration and excitement for the general audiences and for the African-American public.
With the passing of Chadwick Boseman, the torch has been passed to Letitia Wright who takes up the mantle of Black Panther in the titular role of Shuri. Though the heroine has yet to prove her feats similar to the comic, we will compare only T’Challa to Captain America.
In fact, since the Silver Age, the Black Panther-Captain America rivalry has taken on new heights. Indeed, many of their encounters involve Captain America infiltrating Wakanda on political missions or covert operations.
In most battles, the King of Wakanda has won though Captain America has held his own. With “Enter the Phoenix”, Phoenix-powered Captain America and Black Panther are the finalists in the Phoenix’s gladiatorial combats to become the entity’s next host.
Let’s look at how Black Panther’s martial arts and Captain America’s super soldier serum match against each other across various media.
In 2010, BET aired one season of Black Panther. Importantly, the six-episode series was a motion comic that introduced audienes to Wakanda and the world of Black Panther.
Perhaps, the first episode kicked into high gear with the first encounter between Black Panther and Captain America. True to the source material, Captain America is hunting down Nazi spies in Wakanda.
With fisticuffs and muscle-bound heroes, it appears Black Panther outclasses Captain America in strength, speed and fighting skill. In three powerful kicks, T’Challa knocks out the Star Spangled Banner.
In the end, Black Panther wins the battle though the mission is a failure.

FILM: BLACK PANTHER IS THE SRONGEST MARTIAL ARTIST
Really, Black Panther (2018) may be the most celebrated Marvel movie with the greatest cultural impact. Indeed, “Wakanda Forever” has become the popular motto of entertainers and fans alike celebrating African-American culture.
Perhaps, one of its least celebrated moments is the rhino scene during the final battle of the movie. When T’Challa returns to challenge Killmonger, he dons the suit and faces the Wakandan army. Powerfully, he tamed a white rhino stampeding.
Importantly, a white rhinoceros can weigh up to 2400 kg and stampede at 13.8582 meters per second. With a kinetic energy of 230459.648688 Joules, Black Panther performed a Room-Level feat that is well above Captain America’s strength-level.
FILM: CAPTAIN AMERICA IS THE MARVEL UNIVERSE’S BEST HAND-TO-HAND FIGHTER
Gloriously, Captain America showcases the Marvel Universe’s best battles. In Marvel Studios’ Captain America: Civil War (2016), the Avengers are divided over the Sokovia Accords. On the pro-registration are Iron Man and his forces. Against registration are Captain America and his Avengers.
In the final battle, Captain America shows why his combination of strength, sill and fighting spirit is unmatched in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Importantly, Iron Man is at least a 10-tonner since he is able to move the turbines of the Helicarrier.
Gloriously, the Star-Spangled Banner withstands Iron Man’s barrage of punches and array of technology, in order to final overwhelm him with his superior fighting skills. As F.R.I.D.A.Y. states, Catain America is the best hand-to-hand fighter in the Marvel Universe who later triumhs over Tony.
Though, unlike Black Panther killing Killmonger, Captain America does not land Tony the killing blow with his shield.
COMIC: IN ENTER THE PHOENIX, BLACK PANTHER CLAIMS HE CAN KILL THE PHOENIX
In Avengers (2021) #41, Black Panther faces Man-Thing in gladiatorial combat. Marvel Comics.
Importantly, Black Panther claims during the series that he has the power to kill the Phoenix. As a martial artist, Black Panther is also a great mystic who can commune with supernatural forces.
COMIC: CAPTAIN AMERICA HAS STALEMATED BLACK PANTHER
In Captain America #100 (1968), Black Panter tests Captain America in a fight in Wakanda. Marvel Comics
For the most part, Black Panther and Captain America are portrayed as equals. Importantly, T’Challa has the advantage in strength, speed and is the deadlier fighter. Both fighters are protected by Vibranium as the Captain has a Vibranium Shield and the Black Panther Habit is powered by Vibranium.
