Namely, the creative team on the story arc is award-winning talent. In a few words, award-winning writer Grant Morrison and the incredible artist Dough Mahnke collaborate on the series.
For his part, the writer is known for the very popular Doom Patrol, Animal Man for DC’s Vertigo in the late 1980s and his iconic run on JLA in the late 1990s and early 2000s. In fact, an iconic personality, Morrison has fascinated with his eccentricism and his support for minorities..
When both superstars collaborate on this work, you expect a legendary take on classic superheroes. In fact, the creative team shook the DC universe!
A CONCLUSION TO THE DC CRISES
When Grant Morrison created Final Crisis, it was promoted with the tagline “Heroes die. Legends live forever.” Indeed, in my commentary on Final Crisis, I reveal that the objective per editorial mandate was to end the DC multiverse.
Certainly, the encyclopedia crossover event concludes all the ramifications from the past DC crises; in particular, Crisis on Infinite Earths (1986). Though classic heroes such as the Seven Soldiers of Victory make their appearance, the comic makes it clear that there are major deaths and the DC multiverse dies.
Now, the heroes make one final push to save the DC multiverse from Darkseid and the Anti-Life Equation. Witness one of the most iconic finishes in DC history with the Death of Darkseid.
Importantly, Boss Dark Side owns a long list of major character deaths in the crossover event. And the violence, the brutality and the blood spread everywhere. Certainly, the crisis is a response to the economic condition at the time.
Together, the Justice League saves the remaining survivors from the ALE on the Watchtower. Before, the heroes face evil in its powerful form. When Superman is cornered by an enslaved Earth and Darkseid, all hope seems lost.
Definitely, this comic showed some of the most dramatic events in DC history with the opposition of Superman alone against Darkseid with the entire Earth and the Justice League slaves to the ALE, and the death of the New God in issue #7.
Indeed, buy this comic to witness Wally and Barry vibrate through Darkeid’s body as they outrace the Black Racer. In the end, the comic concluded with the restoration of the DC multiverse.
SALES, SALES, SALES
Really, Final Crisis #7 did not boost sales for the series but it did perform outstandingly. In fact, according to Comichron, at Number 22, it was the last Final Crisis comic with 109,400 Diamond unit sales for the year 2009.
However, in March 2009, the issue sold a very low 1,962 copies. Though its yearly performance benefited from a lack of quality crossovers at its competitor Marvel. Let’s compare to the other comics in March 2009.

Namely, the creative team on the story arc is star-studded talent. In a few words, celebrated writer Brian Michael Bendis and the incredible artist Olivier Coipel collaborate on the series. For his part, the writer is known for the very popular Ultimate Universe at Marvel where he updated various heroes to a modern audience such as Spider-Man, X-Men and Avengers.
When both superstars collaborate on this work, you expect a modern take on classic superheroes. In fact, the creative team shook Thor’s world and the Marvel universe!
AN AFTERMATH TO CIVIL WAR
When Mark Millar created Civil War (2006), it was promoted as “Whose Side Are You On?” Indeed, it introduced two opposing versions of the Avengers, one backed by government S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Secret Avengers who opposed Superhuman Registration.
Certainly, Siege (2010) concludes all the ramifications from the event as its aftermath. With a new Dark Avengers team led by Norman Osborn, and disjointed New Avengers and Young Avengers teams, the Marvel Universe was more fragmented than before.
Now, the heroes needed to stop Osborn’s machinations and his declaration of war on the city of Asgard after framing its citizens for a terrorist attack. Witness one of the most dramatic finishes in Marvel history with Thor vs Void Sentry.
Importantly, the battle in issue #4 is infamous for the event. When the assembled heroes take on the Dark Avengers and Void Sentry in Oklahoma, they are quickly defeated. In issue #4, Loki empowers the heroes with the Norn stones for the final battle.
Together, the Avengers and Secret Warriors fight Void Sentry. When the monster is threatened, he kills Loki. Then, enraged Thor and the Avengers lead a final assault. With 10 seconds to spare, Iron Man evacuates the Helicarrier and uses it as a bullet to drop on the monster.
Definitely, this comic showed some of the most dramatic events in Marvel history with Thor executing Void Sentry for its crimes, apparently killing Robert Reynolds.
Indeed, buy this comic to witness Maria Hill’s Helicarrier dropped like a bullet by Iron Man. In the end, the comic concluded Civil War with a new unified Avengers team with its rightful leader.

In ‘Dark Avengers’ (2006) #611, Sentry performs an energy projection feat. At Dinosaur, Colorado, Sentry intervenes to rescue the Dark Avengers from the Molecule Man. During the battle, Sentry demolecularizes Molecule Man.
How much energy projection does it take for Sentry to demolecularize Molecule Man?
Sentry demolecularized Molecule Man in order to force him to restore the Dark Avengers and the people at Dinosaur, Colorado. In order to calculate the energy projection, we will calculate the bond enthalpies of the proteins, fats, carbohydrates, salt and water found in Owen Reece’s 63.5 kg body.
NUMBER CRUNCHING
Sentry demolecularized Molecule Man. This involves separating the covalent, ionic and hydrogen bonds between Molecule Man’s proteins, fats, carbohydrates, nucleic acids and salt molecules.
Bond Enthalpy Of Palmitate In Human Body = (208000 J/mol)(1 mol/256.4 g)(70000 g0.16) = 9085803.43214 J. Bond Enthalpy Of Protein In Human Body = (1500 J/mol)(1 mol/12100 g)(70000 g0.16) = 1388.42975207 J. Bond Enthalpy Of Glucose In Human Body = (9546000 J/mol)(1 mol/180.16 g)(70000 g0.01) = 37090364.1208 J. Bond Enthalpy Of Salt = (760000 J/mol)(1 mol/58.443 g)(70000 g0.06) = 54617319.4395 J. Bond Enthalpy Of Water = (458900 J/mol)(1 mol/18.01528 g)(70000 g*0.62) = 1105520424.88 J.
The total bond enthalpy in Molecule Man’s 63.5 kg body is found from the total bond enthalpy above multiplied by the 63.5 kg/70 kg ratio.
Total Bond Enthalpy In Molecule Man’s Body = (63.5 kg/70 kg)(1206325300.3 J) = 1094309379.56 J.
ENERGY PROJECTION
Sentry demolecularized Molecule Man by dissociating all the bonds in Molecule Man’s 63.5 kg body.
Sentry generated 1094309379.56 Joules of biochemical energy to demolecularize Molecule Man. Sentrt had to generate a Continent Level of Energy Projection.
