IN READING GUIDES, LISTS, REVIEWS

In The Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles (2008-2009), the franchise  had a short-lived success. With Summer Glau as cyborg Cameron, an and Lena Headey as Sarah Connor, the television show continued the storyline of the Terminators as threats to humanity. And, continuing from the eponymous film series by James Cameron, it received great reviews.

Let’s list five times why a Terminator is a threat to humanity.

5. COMIC: TERMINATORS KILL KOUFAQS ACROSS TIME TO STOP RESISTANCE CELL

In *The Terminator: The Original Comics Series-Tempest and One Shot (1990), we follow after the events of The Terminator (1984). When a Resistance Cell is sent in 1984 to take down a TDE, Terminators are also sent. During the mission, the Terminators travel with captured Lieutenant Koufaqs is sent across time with a Plasma Pistol to kill members of the cell.

4. TV: CAMERON MALFUNCTIONS AND TRIES TO KILL JOHN

In the Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Sarah Connor and John Connor work to prevent the creation of SKYNET. Indeed, a cyborg named Cameron is sent to their time in order to protect them. When Cameron malfunctions at the end of Season 1, she adopts a new identity. In the Season 2 episode titled “Allison from Palmdale”, she attempts to kill John Connor, future leader of the Resistance.

3. COMIC: TERMINATORS TRY TO PROTECT ROBOCOP FROM A RESISTANCE SOLDIER

'RoboCop versus The Terminator' #1 (2012) is set in the year 2029. It is about a female soldier named Flo that time travels to RoboCop's time to kill Alex Murphy.

In the alternate Robocop vs The Terminator mini-series, we learn Robocop’s technology helped SKYNET to reach sentience. Perhaps, in a controversy, three Terminators are sent back in time to protect Robocop from a Resistance soldier named Florence Langer. With alternate timelines, we also have the Robocop vs The Terminator battle.

2. FILM: T-800 GOES BACK IN TIME TO KEEP JUDGEMENT DAY

In the Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003) movie, Judgement Day finally arrives. In fact, a T-850 is sent back into the past to protect John Connor and his wife. Though, his mission is not to prevent Judgement Day which is inevitable. Instead, John Connor learnt the T-850’s mission was to ensure they reach a bunker to protect from the warfare.

1. FILM: SKYNET TRANSFORMS JOHN INTO A NANOTECH T-3000

Perhaps, the greatest threat to humanity in the franchise. In order to prevent SKYNET from awakening Genisys in 2017, Sarah Connor, Alex and Pops must travel in time. In the battle, the soldiers find out that John Connor has been infected by nano-technology that transformed him into a T-3000. Definitely, a blow to the leader of the Resistance and humanity.
