PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

A week of death and destruction as Black Adam begins his strike back against those who unleashed the Four Horsemen upon his home and family. As the heroes of the world plan a course of action, Black Adam battles Death!

Critically, ’52’ #45 is one of the most disastrous events in comic book history. Thematically, the comic deals with the pain of loss and grief which it heightens to incalculable destruction. Namely, genocide.

To sum, the story is about Black Adam driven to madness by the death of his wife Isis. In order to avenge her against the Third Horseman, he commits atrocities in Bialya.

Critically-acclaimed Geoff Johns, Greg Rucka, Grant Morrison and Mark Waid collaborate on the story. Indeed, their writing shines in the series. And Black Adam’s stardom skyrockets as a fallen anti-hero destroyed by pain and betrayal. Meanwhile, Keith Giffen, Chris Batista and Jamal Igle match the tone of turmoil and mayhem. In fact, they have emotional resonance.

Certainly, this is an event you do not want to miss. Indeed, share this graphic novel to fans of Black Adam and on the occasions of Comic-Cons. Definitely, it is worth its price and will leave you wanting for more Black Adam! And Death!

CUSTOMER REVIEWS AND SCORES

Critically, ’52’ #45 is the event that skyrocketed Black Adam into an A-list supervillain in the DC Universe. Normally, a man with a violent temper. Out of love for his wife Iris, Black Adam reformed. When Isis was killed by the Third Horseman, Black Adam went on a rampage in Bialya: He killed every man, woman and child in the country, causing a genocide. In the midst of the genocide, holding a flower in his hand, Black Adam cried.

The comic is excellent for your collection. You will definitely love the intimate moments and the picturesque fall from grace. This is the graphic novel to own in order to build your Comixology collection.

ISIS WAS GIFTED TO BLACK ADAM AS “THE MOST BEAUTIFUL VIRGIN IN ALL OF EGYPT”

In 52, we witness the rise and fall of Black Adam, from monarch and husband to genocidal maniac. In ’52’ (2006) #3, two representatives of Intergang Noose and Rough House offer Black Adam “the most beautiful virgin in all of Egypt” in exchange for safe passage to Kandhaq for arms smuggling. Black Adam responds by crushing Noose’s face. Her name is Adrianna Tomaz. In ’52’ (2006) #12, Adrianna helps Black Adam calm his violent temper and shows him how to use his powers to help others.

Black Adam and Adrianna travel by a secret passageway to the Rock of Eternity. There, they find Captain Marvel who has become the new Shazam and who is being driven mad by the Seven Deadly Sins. Black Adam shows Captain Marvel the scarab that had imprisoned him for centuries and tells that he intends to give the power of a hero contained within to Adrianna. Adam tells Adrianna she is worthy of the power. At first, she hesitates then she accepts. She becomes… Isis. Black Adam and Isis both set out to change the world.

OSIRIS’ CROCODILE HE BEFRIENDED, WAS THE FOURTH HORSEMAN… HE CAUSED A BLIGHT ACROSS KHANDAQ KILLING ISIS, BLACK ADAM’S WIFE, AND BITING OSIRIS IN HALF

In 52, Black Adam eventually married Isis, though foreshadowing his fall into a genocidal maniac. Osiris who belonged to the Black Marvel family, befriended a crocodile he named Sobek. In ’52’ (2007) #43, a blight swept upon Khandaq with pouring rain that caused plants to wither and die.

People started rioting in the streets and Black Adam was powerless to stop it. Osiris believes his super powers are a curse. Sobek asks Osiris to speak the magic words. Osiris agress and speaks the magic words: “Black Adam” reverting to a mortal state.1 At that moment, Sobek’s eyes glow red and he attacks Osiris, biting him in half.

In ’52’ (2007) #44, Black Adam and Isis battle the Four Horsemen. Sobek reveals himself to be the Yurrd the Unknown, The Fourth Horseman or Famine. Isis retorts that they loved Sobek and that they had accepted the creature into the Black Marvel Family. At this time, the other three Horsemen reveal themselves. They reveal they are responsible for Khandaq’s misfortunes. It is a result of Black Adam’s rejection of Intergang’s safe passage in Khandaq.

A battle follows during which Zorrm, the Horseman of Pestilence putrefies Isis with disease. Having finished off War, Black Adam attacks Death only for Isis to repel Death with lava. Black Adam rushes to Isis’ side and she tells him to “avenge us.”2 Isis dies of disease and her power returns to Black Adam with a bolt of lightning. IN CRISIS

’52’

The events that led to the creation of Brother MK I can be traced back to the ’52’ series. Years ago, the Elongated Man’s wife Sue Dibny was brutally raped by Doctor Light aboard the JLA satellite. Then, things went awry.

Zatanna and the Justice League Of America wiped Doctor Light of the memory of the crime, altering his personality to be slow-witted. Batman found out and intervened but his mind was wiped out as well by Zatanna’s spell.

‘IDENTITY CRISIS’

During the events of the ‘Identity Crisis’, Sue Dibny was found dead by fire. Investigations into the case helped Batman recover his memory.

These events would set into motion the events surrounding the creation of Brother MK I. Batman growing distrustful of the Justice League Of America created Brother MK I.
