Really, the comic showcases why the Metal Men are the DC Universe‘s last line of defense against world threats. In addition, we learn of the Metal Men’s origin story and why they are the first A.I. on Prime Earth.

The comic is good for your New 52 collection. You will definitely love the epic scope, the science references and the heroism. Together, collect with Trinity War and the main Forever Evil storyline.

There are 7 negative global ratings. One negative customer review pointed the repetitive plot: “What happened, who are these people? Well they are from Trinity war/forever evil. And Johns will tell you the origins of each one as he zzzzz, oh I’m sorry, I just fell asleep waiting for the summary to end. Seriously, summarizing this thing is to much. If you like Johns Blackest night, this is more of the same. You need to collect eight series to get one “story” without any real resolution.”

  • Static created his own plasma cable by ionizing the gases in the air. How cool is that? Deftly, he wrapped it around Sunspot.

  • Static’s slingshot dragged Sunspot around town like a saucy, sooped-up fireball! It’s really great how he was surfing the airwaves on his Static Saucer.

Sunspot:

  • Sunspot actually fried Static with a short-circuit sending him from airborne onto a rooftop. Then, Static turned up the dials!

Importantly, the comic deals with the new recruits’ past as well as the public’s growing distrust. And the Justice League must protect the people at all costs.

The comic is good for your collection. You will definitely love the action-oriented panels, the characters’ heroism and the bright color palette. This is the comic to own in order to build your DC Rebirth collection.

The big evil is too vague, the action rote. The art is good, but there is no real sense of group dynamics or living characters here.”

Space Adventures (1960) #33, titled “Introducing Captain Adam” marks the first appearance of Captain Atom in DC continuity. The issue tells the origin story of Captain Atom: Allen Adam’s body was vaporized after he was launched in an experimental rocket. However, he survived and was able to re-form his body by using the power of the atom. Donning a special body suit to protect from radiation, he became Captain Atom.

DC Comics Presents (1980) #26, titled “Where Nightmares Begin”, marks the first appearance of Cyborg in DC continuity. Robin arrives on the scene of a terrorist siege at S.T.A.R. Labs. Before Robin can act, his future teammates Cyborg, Raven and Starfire appear to him in a vision at Titans Tower. At the end of the issue, it is revealed Raven gave Robin a vision of the future.

The issue was created by Jim Starlin and Marv Wolfman.

CAPTAIN ATOM IN COMICS

CAPTAIN ATOM'S FIRST APPEARANCE

Space Adventures (1960) #33, titled “Introducing Captain Adam” marks the first appearance of Captain Atom in DC continuity. The issue tells the origin story of Captain Atom: Allen Adam’s body was vaporized after he was launched in an experimental rocket. However, he survived and was able to re-form his body by using the power of the atom. Donning a special body suit to protect from radiation, he became Captain Atom.

The comic was written by Joe Gill and penciled by Steve Ditko.

Federal forces are sent to capture Cyborg and his technology-but things take a bizarre twist when tensions rise among members of the Justice League, who are split over what Cyborg should do.

Critically, ‘Cyborg’ (1991) #9, is one of the best Cyborg stories. With the passage of the Federal Cybernetic Regulation Act, the federal government intends to confiscate Cyborg and his alien technology. However, tensions rise between Shazam and Cyborg when the latter opposes the decision.

Together, writer David F. Walker and a team of artists collaborate on the story. Though optimistic, the writing shines on the relationships among the different characters. Nevertheless, the art in the book is characteristic of the New 52: big, bold, fun. Moreover, Shazam vs Cyborg!

Indeed, share this graphic novel to fans of Cyborg and for your children’s science fairs. Definitely, it is worth its price and will leave you wanting for more Cyborg! And Shazam!

To begin, this comic foreshadows an important event in Cyborg history. Here, Cyborg’s evolution blurs the lines between human and machine. Dangerously, the federal government and a mysterious alien army threaten Earth. And Cyborg must choose between the Justice League and the law.

The comic is excellent for your collection. Cyborg Vol. 1: Unplugged precedes this comic. And this comic is collected in Cyborg Vol. 2: Enemy of the State. You will definitely love the color palette, the characters’ muscular physiques and friendly smiles.

This is the comic to own in order to build your Comixology collection.
