SYNOPSIS FOR “ROUND THREE”

In order to determine whose universe lives, the Brothers have chosen champions from each universe to do battle. As the contests continue, two superheroes must face off.

Their battle to save their universes.

Enter the two contestants underwater. On the left side is Batman, the Dark Knight and on the right side is Captain America, the Super Soldier.

THE FIGHT

In the Manhattan sewage system, Batman and Captain America are fighting.

The battle to decide who is the greatest martial artist!

The fight starts out with Batman using stealth to attack Captain America with a kick.

On the following page, Captain America answers with a push with his shield and a punch.

On the final page, Batman connects with the batarang while Captain America misses the shield throw and is swept away by the gush of water.

CAPTAIN AMERICA IN COMICS

‘Captain America Comics’ (1940) #1, titled “Meet Captain America” marks the first appearance of Captain America in Marvel continuity. The issue tells the origin story of Captain America and his recruitment in the war effort against the Nazis during World War II. The issue also tells the relationship between friends and allies Captain America and Bucky Barnes.

The comic was written and penciled by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby.

PROMETHEUS IN COMICS

‘Blue Beetle’ (1986) #3, marks the first appearance of Prometheus in DC Post-Crisis continuity. Prometheus was a name borne by several fictional supervillains in DC Comics. At the time, he was Curt Calhoun working in Ted Kord’s metallurgy lab, whose code name is Blue Beetle, under attack by the Madmen and Dr. Alchemy; the latter steals Promethium.
