To begin, the art is illusionism DC art. The artist on the series is Jim Lee. In the 1990s, the iconic artist shook the comic industry with the Wildstorm Universe. Importantly, his work on X-Men (1991) #1 sold the most copies of all-time. In his masterpiece, Batman: Hush, the artist’s pencils reach maturity with splash panels and imposing musculature in a vibrant contrast of black and blue coloring that make the comic a true present.
Certainly, Alex Sinclair’s coloring matches the noir and thriller tone of the story arc with real contrast with skin tone and backgrounds. In addition, Scott Williams’ inking is notable in this issue. Though Lee’s pencils create the most imposing Batman in DC Comics with musculature and intimidation, his characters lack distinctiveness as the males are muscle-bound and the females are femme fatales. Nevertheless, the comic excels at drama and the splash page on the left shows the artist’s masterpiece!
