Super Power: Godzilla’s Atomic Ray Can Be Increased A Hundred-Fold When Overloaded With Radiation

SUPER POWER

IN GODS, MONSTERS AND INFINITE POWER

GODZILLA IS A MUTATED GODZILLASAURUS

“Godzilla vs King Ghidorah” (1991).

In “Godzilla vs King Ghidorah” (1991), we learn of Godzilla which is a kaiju and the “King of Monsters.” The film was produced by Toho Company Ltd and was the 18th installment in the Godzilla series.

Originally, Godzilla was Godzillasaurus that survived a 100 million years on Lagos Island. A team of two Americans and one Japanese from the future called the Futurians traveled to present-day Japan to warn that the monster would one day destroy Japan. The Futurians sought to alter the future.

Read on!

Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah

The Godzillasaurus lived on Lagos Island in Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah, and was attacked by American soldiers during World War II. This was observed by some of the Futurians and a group of people from the present that had traveled back in time to remove Godzilla from history.

The Godzillasaurus fought off the Americans, seemingly ‘defending’ a bastion of Japanese soldiers who were on the island at the time, but was gravely wounded after multiple naval ships bombarded it with shells and missiles. Badly injured, the Godzillasaurus fell to the ground. After the Japanese soldiers paid their respects and left, the Futurians transported the injured dinosaur to the Bering Sea, thinking that they had successfully altered the present day.

However, this was not to be the case, as a nuclear submarine crash in the Bering Sea provided the energy to turn the Godzillasaurus into Godzilla, thus preventing the timeline from changing.

GODZILLA IS A WALKING NUCLEAR REACTOR WITH AN ATOMIC RAY AS ITS MOST POTENT ATTACK

Godzilla is a mutated monster that is a walking nuclear reactor. Its most potent attack is the atomic ray which it fires as a blast from its mouth. The atomic ray is capable of devastating one fourth of Tokyo in one single blast. In addition, Godzilla possesses another super power. It is able to emit from its body a field of nuclear energy called the nuclear pulse.

OUTCOME: GODZILLA WINS BY DECAPITATION

GODZILLA’S ATOMIC RAY CAN BE INCREASED A HUNDRED-FOLD BY AN OVERLOAD OF RADIATION

Godzilla is able to generate radiation as the atomic ray; however, he can also absorb radiation. When overloaded by radiation, his abilities can increase a hundred-fold.

Read on!

When charged with extra radiation, Godzilla’s ray will become red and, occasionally, have a spiral around it; this spiral ray is much more powerful than the normal ray, and can even hit objects in space (as seen in Godzilla: Final Wars).

When overloaded with radiation all of Godzilla’s abilities increase a hundred-fold. However when his temperature reaches 1200 degrees Celsius, he will melt down, causing the atmosphere of the planet to heat up, and then explode, vaporizing everything we know. The effects can be lessened by freezing him but they will still do unbelievable amounts of damage to his surroundings.

Super Power: Darkseid’s Omega Effect Is A New God Power That Grants Its User Power Over Life And Death

SUPER POWER

Comics Explained

IN GODS, MONSTERS AND INFINITE POWER

IN POST-CRISIS CONTINUITY, THE OMEGA EFFECT IS DARKSEID’S ULTIMATE NEW GOD SUPER POWER

In ‘Superman/Doomsday: Hunter/Prey’ (1994) #1, Doomsday faces the awesome might of Darkseid! Photo/DC Comics

Darkseid’s Omega Effect is the New God’s ultimate super power. Being a New God, Darkseid derives this super power from the Source. The ability is probably an extension of the chaotic power of the Source.

What does this mean?

The Omega Effect is Darkseid’s power to create or destroy from the chaos aspect of the Source. In post-crisis continuity, the Source is the boundary to the DC multiverse and its creator.

Read on!

The Godwave was a mystical wave of energy, created by The Source, that swept across the cosmos, responsible for creating various pantheons of gods. As it spread it eventually reached the edge of the universe and rebounded, making a second pass that created the potential for Superhumans. Thus, it was responsible for creating the likes of the Speed Force, the Quantum Field and the energy channeled by the Guardians of the Universe. In time, the resonance created by the Godwave began to expand and contract whereupon it returned to The Source. This expansion and contraction began to affect the powers of various beings throughout the universe. As a result, the cosmic energy force began to tear apart the structures it had created whereupon it would wipe the universe clean bringing about the emergence of a new and terrible Fifth World to replace it.

THE OMEGA EFFECT GRANTS DARKSEID POWER OVER LIFE AND DEATH

Darkseid uses the Omega Effect in order to create and to destroy. The Omega Effect grants Darkseid power over life and death. The Omega Effect is fired as concussive beams from Darkseid’s eyes. The super power is able to disintegrate beings and objects on target. In addition, the Omega Effect can curve though it does not err from its target.

The Omega Effect grants Darkseid the power to erase beings from reality and re-create them at will. It is thus a reality-warping power. The New God derives this super power from the chaotic side of the Source.
