HOW THE AVENGERS AND THE X-MEN STACK UP IN RAW POWER

ENERGY PROJECTION

Really, Cyclops and Captain America are the two best leaders on Marvel Earth. Generally, they are alpha males that command attention. When they met head-to-head, energy projection was the main factor in Avengers vs X-Men (2012) #2. Without a doubt, the Alpha-Mutant vs the Super-Soldier. Indeed, Cyclops’ optic blasts proved devastating. Though, Cap proved more than capable of handling them. In Civil War: X-Men (2006) #4, Iron Man measured Cyclops’ power output to 2 Gigawatts. Enough to level a city block!

SUPER STRENGTH

In their match-up, Colossus and Red Hulk seemed evenly matched! Colossus’ organic steel can dish out a Planetary-Level punishment. Just ask the Juggernaut! However, Red Hulk simply is in a league of his own in terms of super strength. In our Marvel Universe Strength Hierarchy, we ranked Red Hulk’s most notorious feat: Punching out Uatu the Watcher! Certainly, it was a Galaxy-Level feat! Definitely, we look forward to these two powerhouses duking out some more.

ENERGY PROJECTION

Among the X-Men and Avengers, Emma Frost and Iron Man are among the most dangerous. In addition, they are also the most resourceful in terms of energy projection. Particularly, Emma Frost is an Omega-Class Telepath. During their encounter, Iron Man recognized the threat. Incredibly, he hit Emma with 17,000 Microscopic Telepathic Tasers. Ouch! In response, White Queen switched to diamond form and punched Iron Man in the abdomen. Soon, the fight ended with Magneto’s intervention. Though, Emma Frost proved to be more than a match for Iron Man’s hi-tech.

SUPER SPEEED

In their family reunion, Magneto and Quicksilver were outmatched in super speed. Indeed, Quicksilver proved superior combat speed landing a punch. At the same time, Magneto’s EM Sight allows him to perceive electromagnetic forces and energies on Earth. In part, it explains Magneto’s enhanced perception and his ability to track speedsters. In Vision and the Scarlet Witch (1982) #4, Magneto is able to show heightened reflexes. Reactively, he erects a force field as Quicksilver charges at him at high speed. Though, Quicksilver beats him in raw power speedwise. Nevertheless, both Magneto and Quicksilver are in the same Speed Class.

SUPER STRENGTH

In the Marvel Universe, if Namor gets respect, Thing continues to be underrated. With these two, super strength is all that matters. Bombastically, Namor has tangled with Hulk, Hercules and Luke Cage over the years. In fact, Namor’s overwhelming super strength and brutality always seem to come out on top or draw. For his part, Thing once withstood and pushed back a hydraulo press that could press a planet. Together, these two powerhouses have super strength on a planetary scale. In the super strength department, they are evenly matched.

IN SUPER POWER EXPLAINED

TOP OMEGA LEVEL MUTANTS HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO CREATE OR DESTROY ENTIRE UNIVERSES

In 'House of X' (2019) #1, the 14 Omega-Level mutants are listed.
In ‘House of X’ (2019) #1, the 14 Omega-Level mutants are listed. AP Photo/Marvel Comics.

On Earth, the mutant gene was the result of experiments by the Celestials on homo erectus. In their experiments, the Celestials created the lines of the Deviants and the Eternals.

During their First Host on Earth, one million years ago, the Celestials collected the Wanderers, a tribe of Homo erectus. Gammenon the Gatherer collected the ape-men and sent them to Ziran the Tester who mutated them to have an unstable genome, creating the Deviants (Homo descendus), a race with various mutations, who were then released and went hiding in the caves. With other subjects, Nezarr the Calculator then created the Eternals(Eternals (Homo immortalis)), hairless, upright tall beings able to tap into the cosmic power. They were themselves released, flying out of the Celestials’ laboratory-ship. Finally, Oneg the Prober created a latent gene for the expansion of human potential and those modified yet apparently unchanged ape-men were released.

The potential for superhuman powers was only latent: That dormant “DNA complex”/”mutant genes” implanted in Homo erectus.

That potential was transferred to Homo antecessor, then to Homo neanderthalensis, both species experimented on by the Kree in order to create the Inhumans (Inhomo supremis).

It later came to fruition into the form of Homo superior, the mutants.

-Mutant Genes, Marvel Database

Depending on the mutation, Earth’s mutants display different abilities with variable range. In fact, the top Omega Level mutants have the potential to create or destroy entire universes. Let’s list our top 10.

10. STORM

Storm.
Storm. AP Photo/Marvel Comics.

Uniquely, Storm is both a mutant and a goddess. As goddess, she is worshipped by the tribes in Wakanda. In fact, Ororo is an Omega Level mutant because she is considered a Storm Goddess. Contrary to Professor X, her weather powers are the result of magic.

Potentially, Storm has no upper limit to her manipulation of nature. Though, she may not be able to create or destroy universes. Indeed, her power potentially extends to the weather forces on Earth. For that reason, she belongs on this list.

9. MARVEL GIRL

Marvel Girl.
Marvel Girl. AP Photo/Marvel Comics.

To this day, Jean Grey is the most well-known Phoenix Force host. As Phoenix, Jean possesses cosmic power on a multiversal scale. In fact, the cosmic entity is a firebird of rebirth and destruction.

Currently, Jean has rejected the Phoenix. As Marvel Girl, she displays telepathy and telekinesis at the Omega Level. Moreover, she has performed incredible feats since returning from the dead as Marvel Girl. In ‘King In Black’ (2021) #4, Marvel Girl invaded the mind of the primordial god Knull.

Considering Knull is a God of Darkness from the primordial universe, Marvel Girl definitely displayed the power to destroy an entire universe.

8. MAGNETO

Magneto.

Originally, Magneto was classified as one of the few Omega Level mutants on Earth. With his mastery of magnetism, he can destroy the planet’s magnetic field. However, his power initially rivals Phoenix’s. At his maximum, Magneto can siphon the magnetic fields of nearby planets. That is a Stellar to Solar System Level.

7. VULCAN

Vulcan.

According to Professor X, Vulcan is the most powerful mutant energy manipulator. As an Omega Level mutant, Gabriel can absorb, project and manipulate vast amounts of energy. Moreover, Vulcan’s power extends over the EM spectrum and even Adam Warlock’s magic.

6. HOPE SUMMERS

Hope Summers.

Incredibly, Hope’s mutant power is power mimicry. Meaning, she can only mimic the powers of those mutants she encounters in close proximity. At first, this may seem unimportant. However, there seems to be no definable limit to her mutant power.

In ‘Avengers vs X-Men’ (2012) #12, Hope mimicked the Iron Fist to its highest potential. Aided by Scarlet Witch, she went toe-to-toe with a Phoenix-powered Cyclops. In the end, she landed a blow powerful enough to dissociate Phoenix from Scott.

Finally, Hope demonstrated the power to extinguish the Phoenix itself, when it claimied her as a host. Definitely, a universal feat.

5. ELIXIR

Elixir
Elixir. AP Photo/Marvel Comics.

In ‘New X-Men: Academy X Yearbook’ (2005) #1, Elixir is classified as an Omega Level Healer. Particularly, Joshua Foley’s mutation is the power to control his biology and others’ down to the genetic level. In effect, Elixir can heal from physical damage, reactivate suppressed mutant abilities, and even repair cerebral functions.

Initially, Elixir was able to heal only scratches, burns and damaged bones. Before his death, this ability extended to only a dozen or so mutants whom he needed to touch physically.

Moreover, Elixir can resurrect the dead. In ‘Uncanny X-Men Annual’ (2016) #1, Elixir has been able to resurrect the 16 million deceased mutants in Genosha. Indeed, this is a divine power. Definitely, a potential to create life and the universe.

3. PROTEUS

Proteus.

As an Omega Level mutant, Proteus possesses the power to alter and manipulate reality with his thought. In addition, his super power allows him to teleport and shift between the multiverse.

Potentially, Proteus possesses the power to destroy the universe. So far, his reality manipulation power affects only a limited area around him. Nevertheless, in ‘Planet-Size X-Men’ (2021) #1, Kevin was able to terraform Mars. In his energy form, Proteus needs a human host in order to live.

2. LEGION

Legion.

According to Doctor Nemesis, Legion is an Omega Level mutant. In fact, his mutant power is to create spontaneous mutations. Incredibly, Legion has over 200 split personalities each governed by a different super power. Potentially, Legion possesses the power to destroy the universe.

1. FRANKLIN RICHARDS

Franklin Richards.

In “Franklin Richards: Marvel Confirms The Most Powerful Mutant Character,” Fortress of Solitude states Franklin Richards is the most powerful mutant. For good measure, since Franklin has the power to create, manipulate and destroy universes. Specifically, Professor X’s file lists his reality manipulation as Universal Level. Importantly, fans have speculated that Franklin may control the entirety of the Marvel Universe.

STAN LEE’S FAVORITE VILLAIN

Doctor Doom was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Originally, the character first appeared in Fantastic Four Vol. 1 (1962) #5.

Interviewed by leukemia survivor KJ Ricci, Stan Lee revealed Doctor Doom is his favorite supervillain. The legendary writer said he does not see Doom as a villain and would like to clear his name.

THE POWER COSMIC

DOCTOR DOOM ABSORBED GALACTUS’ + TAA II’S POWER

In ‘Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars’ (1985) #10, Doctor Doom steals Galactus’ Power Cosmic. Previously, Galactus absorbs the energy of Taa II. Possibly, Galactus with Taa II’s might equal the Beyonder in battle. However, using the Klaw discs, Doctor Doom siphons Galactus’ Power Cosmic.

In his new-found omnipotence, Doctor Doom’s senses expand. Really, Doom realizes his cosmic senses encompass all reality. Inside their cells, the Baron of Iron is aware of the villains’ secret thoughts and desires. Furthermore, he is aware of an intruder, Captain Marvel.

BATTLE AT THE EDGE OF THE UNIVERSE

Immediately, Doctor Doom battled Beyonder in the Beyond-Realm. Incredibly, the battle was so fierce that it sent shockwaves through space. In fact, Battleworld was feeling quakes as a result of the titanic battle.

However, Doctor Doom is soon overwhelmed by the Beyonder’s godly power. Desperately, the Destroyer beams an image of himself back to Battleworld. Before the assembled heroes, he asks for their powers. Hesitantly, Magneto steps forward. Quickly, he is tackled by Wasp, Hawkeye and Iron Man.

DOCTOR DOOM’S SUPREME WILLPOWER

DOCTOR DOOM DENIES DEATH

With his last ply thwarted, the tide of the battle turns against Doom. Courageously, Doctor Doom attempts to grow nearer. But, the Beyonder’s infinite power doubles his onslaught. Finally, in bursts of energy blasts, Doom’s legs are cut off and he is felled.

Tragically, the Baron of Iron feels the “cold embrace [of Mistress Death] seems imminent.”1 Defiantly, Doctor Doom rejects the Spectre. His words ring out: “Victor Von Doom must not die!”1

VICTOR VON DOOM STEALS THE BEYONDER’S POWER

With his foe defeated, Beyonder comes down to examine him. Intrigued, he peers through Doom’s life. Moreover, he dissects Doom apart, layer by layer. Proving his willpower is supreme, Doom resists the agonizing pain.

Soon, the Beyonder grows closer to his subject. Incredibly, Victor Von Doom reaches for the Beyonder’s disembodied energy. In the end, Doom steals the Beyonder’s infinite power.

PER IGN: MARVEL’S GREATEST VILLAIN

IGN’S TOP 100 COMIC BOOK VILLAINS OF ALL TIME

In 2009, IGN counted down the Top 100 Comic Book Villains Of All Time from both DC and Marvel comics. The list features some of the best villains in the two universes such as Magneto, Thanos, Black Adam and Joker. The list even ranks our own Doctor Doom.

On the list, Doctor Doom ranked number three. In 2019, IGN would rank Doctor Doom as the greatest Marvel villain of all time citing his supreme arrogance and lust for power. Let’s look at reasons why this is the case.

Doctor Doom.
Doctor Doom. AP Photo/Marvel Comics.

ORIGIN STORY

Doctor Doom’s origin story is one of tragedy and crime. Victor von Doom was born to gypsy parents. His mother dealt in the dark arts. Tragically, a bargain with Mephisto went awry and the demon claimed Victor’s mother’s soul. Victor studied magic in Latveria then science in America to reclaim his mother’s soul.

Victor Von Doom, Reed Richards and Ben Grimm studied at State University, New York. Apparently, Ben may have been responsible for Victor becoming Doctor Doom. Combining magic and science, Victor’s experiment failed and his face was scarred. Donning armor and mask, he became… Doctor Doom.

CHARACTER MOTIVATION

What makes Doom a great villain is the fact that he originally was not a villain. His dedication to saving his mother is understandable though the means he uses are abhorrent. In many respects, Doom is a product of his upbringing: tortured, lonely and violent.

Doom’s central motivation is his belief that the world can find peace only under Doomworld. In many respects, this is the belief of all tyrants which shows that Doom’s belief actually stems from those tragic circumstances that developed his lust for power. Why is Doom’s Marvel greatest villain? He has conviction and unmatched willpower.

Doctor Doom’s story is that of tragedy and crime. AP Photo/Marvel Comics

VILLAIN OR ANTI-HERO?

Early stories showcase Doctor Doom as an exclusive Fantastic Four villain. IGN even considers him a fifth member of the Fantastic Four as its necessary antagonist. What makes Doom an interesting villain are his motivations. Ultimately, though he always seeks ultimate power as his goal, his purposes are always devious.

Of course, his final goal is world domination but his methods are infinite. As head of state of Latveria, Doom uses the vast resources at his disposal to do war against the Fantastic Four and Marvel Earth. In some portrayals Doctor Doom has allied himself with the forces of good to face a common enemy. In “Infinity Gauntlet,” Doctor Doom even allied himself to the heroes who banded together to fight Thanos. However, it is always for a devious purpose.

POWERS: SCIENCE AND MAGIC

Doctor Doom is one of the most brilliant minds on Marvel Earth, rivaling Mister Fantastic in scientific expertise. A rarity, Doom has managed to unite both science and magic, upgrading his armor with spells, cosmic energy and other sources of power. What makes Doom so dangerous is his skill in both departments and his viciousness, since he is willing to go to any lengths in order to further his power.

Multiple times, Doctor Doom has succeeded in achieving ultimate power. Doctor Doom managed to steal the Beyonder’s power and become the Supreme Being of the Marvel Universe. In the “Avengers: Emperor Doom” storyline, Doom became the benevolent Emperor Doom who succeeded in bringing peace on Earth with the Purple Man’s psycho-prism. In the “Secret Wars” event, Doom stole the Beyonders’ power again, this time, to re-make reality in his image. Indeed, a feat not even Thanos has achieved.

Super Power: Magneto’s Mastery Of Magnetism Is The Next Phase Of Human Evolution And Makes Him An Omega Level Mutant

Home » Magneto

SUPER POWER

Comics Explained

IN SUPERVILLAINS

WHY MAGNETO IS THE MASTER OF MAGNETISM

Magneto in ‘X-Men’ (1991) #1. AP Photo/Marvel Comics.

As Homo superior, Magneto is the next phase of human evolution. Originally, the master of magnetism represents the mutant population which by accidents of evolution has been granted super powers. Magneto‘s mastery of magnetism is the super power to control, manipulate and shift magnetic fields on a planetary to solar system scale. In the past, the mutant powerhouse was once classified as an Alpha Level mutant. This has been changed to an Omega Level mutant. In fact, what is an Omega Level mutant?

Read on!

The term, initially “Omega Level Mutant Abilities” was seemingly used at first by Fred Duncan, and quickly adopted by Charles Xavier to define some of his first students, and was described in those terms: “Yet what he called Omega (the last) he meant as regards to an “ultimate threat,’ while I simply prefer to think of such mutant abilities as unlimited potential.

-“Mutant Power Level Classification”, Marvel Database

In other words, what makes Magneto an Omega Level mutant is power without limit. In fact, Magneto has been stated on several occasions to be the most powerful mutant on Earth.1,2,3 On another occasion, he has been called the most powerful being on Earth.4

PHOENIX IS MAGNETO’S RIVAL

In ‘X-Men’ (1978) #112, Magneto defeats Phoenix and Wolverine. Photo/Marvel Comics

In early X-men stories, the X-men regularly met Magneto as their foe. In ‘X-Men’ (1978) #112, the X-men return to Mesmero’s carnival trailer to find… Magneto. Eager to even the score with the X-Men, Magneto systematically subdues each member. Phoenix intervenes during the fight, and Magneto quickly defeats her by siphoning her Phoenix flame. Clearly, it has been stated that Magneto’s power rivals Phoenix’s.5 In Marvel continuity, Professor X and Magneto have been shown to match and defeat the Phoenix in duels.

In ‘New X-Men’ (2004) #150, the Omega Level mutant faces a resurrected Phoenix. During the battle, Jean Grey has the upper hand though Magneto is initially protected by his helmet from Phoenix’s telepathy. Finally, Magneto attacks Phoenix with a planetary electromagnetic pulse, giving her a heart attack. Both Omega Level mutants die: Phoenix dies while Magneto seemingly dies at the hand of Wolverine.

It appears Phoenix is Magneto’s limit as an Omega Level mutant. This means Magneto’s powers can at least match Phoenix’s at the Solar System Level. Of course, Phoenix has been classified as a Multiversal being, Beyond Omega Level.

In 'New X-Men' (2004) #150, Magneto kills Phoenix with a planetary electromagnetic pulse.

Magneto counters Iron Man‘s interplanetary absorption of the interplanetary magnetic field with the Bleeding Edge Armor. Since Magneto uses the power of the sun we can assume it is the heliosphere.

We will use the heliosphere magnetic field strength to rate Magneto’s energy projection.

NUMBER CRUNCHING

According to The Heliosphere, Sol’s heliosphere has a magnetic field strength of 0.3 nanoTesla.

Let’s convert it in Gauss. One Gauss = 10^4 Tesla.

Magnetic Field = 0.3 nanoTesla = 0.3 * 10^-9 * 10^4 = 3 microGauss.

ENERGY PROJECTION

Magneto siphoned the energy of Sol’s heliosphere in order to counter Iron Man’s Bleeding Edge interplanetary energy absorption.

Magneto generated 3 microGauss of energy. Magneto had to generate a Solar System Level of Energy Projection in order to siphon the magnetic field of the heliosphere.

IN SUPER POWER EXPLAINED

Magneto is one of the most powerful beings in the Marvel Universe. He is an enemy of the X-Men and an enemy of humanity. Magneto has on multiple occasions, attempted to destroy the human race in order to champion the cause of mutants.

Magneto is known as the Master of Magnetism and an Omega Level mutant. What is Magneto’s super power called Magnetism?

Read on!

Magnetokinesis: Magneto has comprehensive control over all forms of magnetism and utilizes that control to manipulate any metal and achieve a variety of effects. He recently proved able to effectively hold together the headless form of a Celestial. Magneto can manipulate an entire planet’s electromagnetic field and once even pulled back the giant metallic ‘bullet’ where Kitty Pryde was trapped inside, which was at least a few light-years away from Earth, though these are tasks that require great effort on his part. Magneto’s power is comparable with Phoenix’s, he has harnessed magnetism to stop armies, raise islands from ocean floors, move mountains, change the course of rivers, and threaten to devastate the world with floods and earthquakes.

Because the Phoenix consumes stars, and Magneto matches her Power Level, it may seem that Magneto’s Power Level is Solar System+.

Let’s dig our comics!

In ‘X-Men’ (1978) #112, Magneto uses the super power of Magnetism to match the Phoenix’s cosmic power. Magneto shapes the Earth’s magnetosphere to create a “bottle-effect” around Phoenix, siphoning away her cosmic power.1 Magneto defeats Phoenix. However, this was a Phoenix that was growing in power.

During the ‘Dark Phoenix’ (1980) saga, Phoenix is driven insane by the fires of life and death, and causes the near extinction of the planet D’Bari by consuming its sun. This Power Level is definitely Solar System+.

In 'X-Men' (1980) #135, Phoenix consumes the D'Bari star causes the near extinction of the D'Bari.

At the end of the saga, Phoenix was killed by committing suicide. Of course, Phoenix ultimately resurrected and it turned out that the Phoenix is actually a cosmic firebird Multiversal in Power Level. Nevertheless, In ‘X-Men’ (1978) #112, Magneto was able to match the Phoenix’s power to be Solar System+ Power Level.

In ‘Super Power Explained: How Smart Is Iron Man?’, we looked at Iron Man’s Bleeding Edge Armor. In ‘AvX: Vs’ #1, Magneto demonstrated he can siphon the magnetic power of nearby planets in the solar system. Magneto demonstrated at least a Stellar+ Power Level.

Since Magneto displayed Stellar+ power in his battle against Iron Man and was able to match Phoenix’s power, he is at least Stellar+ in Power Level. This indicates Magneto’s higher end power is Solar System+ since he can siphon the energy of nearby planets in the solar system and defeat Phoenix before she became Dark Phoenix.

As a result, Magneto’s Mastery of Magnetism extends to the solar system and is Solar System+ Level.

Super Power Explained: How Smart Is Iron Man?

SUPER POWER

IN SUPER POWER EXPLAINED

IRON MAN INVENTED THE BLEEDING EDGE ARMOR

Iron Man is one of the smartest beings in the Marvel Universe. He regularly comes up with advanced technology, battle plans, scientific discoveries and yes… Iron Man Hulkbuster Armors. In order to estimate how intelligent Iron Man may be, let’s look at an Iron Man Armor upgrade: The Bleeding Edge Armor.

Read on!

Deemed as “bleeding edge,” this armor was created as Tony Stark essentially reinvented himself and the armor. Being called an upgrade to Extremis by Mr. Fantastic, Tony Stark corrected this comment by saying, “Nah – this is what comes next.” It was the first armor powered entirely by repulsor technology via Stark’s new device, the R.T. node.

[…]

This entire armor is kept inside Tony’s body until mentally commanded, at which point it manifests itself as the Iron Man Armor. The armor is made up of Nano-Machines that can now be commanded to turn into any type of structure upon Stark’s skin. For example, the nano-machines can turn into clothes, other armors, or even different beings completely, by having the nano-machines change their properties into whatever Stark wants them to be. It can also dissociate to transform into the Iron Man armor whenever Stark wishes. The armor and Stark’s own transhuman body are powered by the high-yield R.T. node mounted in his chest. The high output of the node has greatly augmented Stark’s intelligence and provided him with superhuman-level multitasking and learning capabilities.

WHAT IS THE R.T. NODE?

The R.T. node is Iron Man’s discovery of fusion power, which is the process that powers the sun. In effect, Iron Man called the Bleeding Edge Armor a “man-made star.”1

Read on!

The Repulsor Tech node, as called on Earth-616, is a type of fusion power which derived from the Repulsor Technology of the Iron Man suit created by Tony Stark. It can be used as a source for clean energy as well as a powerful bomb, further modifications made along Rand Industries discarding the second possible application.

Arc Reactor, Marvel Database

Tony Stark discovered a source of clean energy as well as the potential to make powerful thermonuclear bombs.

HOW STRONG IS THE BLEEDING EDGE ARMOR?

IN ‘AVX:VS’ #1, IRON MAN IN BLEEDING EDGE ARMOR GOES TOE TO TOE WITH MAGNETO WHO WAS SIPHONING THE MAGNETIC ENERGY OF NEARBY PLANETS

The Bleeding Edge Iron Man Armor is able to go toe to toe with an Omega Level mutant. Since Magneto was siphoning the magnetic energy of nearby planets, the Bleeding Edge Iron Man Armor is able to withstand planetary to solar level power. This means it is at least Planetary in Power Level.

HOW SMART IS IRON MAN?

Iron Man’s IQ has been rated as super-genius, with the likes of beings like Thanos. Ben Sherlock from CBR.com writes:

Lex Luthor’s IQ is estimated to be 225, which is very impressive. Batman’s is 192, while Albert Einstein’s is thought to be between 160 and 180. So, Batman has a higher IQ than Albert Einstein, but Lex Luthor has a higher IQ than Batman. However, compare Lex’s to Tony Stark’s, which is 270, and it doesn’t seem so impressive. Tony’s IQ of 270 is extremely high. It makes him certifiably a “super genius” and puts him in the smartest 0.1% of the world’s population. 225 is still an incredible IQ score, but it’s not in the top 0.1% of the world.

“9 Questions About Lex Luthor, Answered,” CBR.com

Iron Man mastered the fusion process that powers the solar nuclear reactor. This is revolutionary in the sense that it promises to create clean energy that can power human industry. Iron Man built a Bleeding Edge Iron Man and is capable of at least creating a statistical model of the lifetime of a star from its beginning stages to supernova. Furthermore, Iron Man is able to apply theory to physics and engineering.

The Bleeding Edge Iron Man Armor achieves two things: fusion power and nano-technology. Because Iron Man realized these feats of engineering, his creative intelligence is at least intelligent enough to process all the information on the Internet since this is the technology that connects the entirety of Marvel Earth.

In fact, in real-world terms, the orbiting space telescope GALEX that detects stellar and space objects produces about petabytes of data in its catalogs. This means Iron Man is able to process at least petabytes of data in order to create the Bleeding Edge Iron Man Armor.
