In Post-Crisis continuity, Superman’s origin story has been revised four times.

SUPERMAN: SECRET ORIGIN

In another origin story, Clark Kent grew up in Smallville. In his early years, Lana Lang was his girlfriend. At a very young age, Clark befriended a young Lex Luthor. After Martha Kent designed a traditional Krptonian costume out of his baby blanket, Clark began operating as Superboy.

Around this time, Superboy was visited by Cosmic Boy, Lightning Lad and Saturn Girl of the Legion of Super Heroes. In the 30th century, the super powered teens formed inspired by Superboy. Together, they traveled to the future.

Moving to Metropolis as an adult, Clark worked as a reporter for the failing Daily Planet. On a fateful day, the hero revealed himself as Superman when he caught Lois Lane falling off Lexcorp’s skyscraper.¹
