Finally, the mystery of Spider-Man’s cosmic powers is revealed. In fact, just in time to take on the Loki-powered menace of Tri-Sentinel.

VISIT THE COLLECTOR’S ARMOR
BEST MARVEL ILLUSTRATORS
To begin, the art is epic Marvel art. The artist on the series is Erik Larsen. In the 1990s, the artist came to prominence with his pencils on Acts of Vengeance: Spider-Man & the X-Men. Importantly, he is one of the creators of Image Comics though he gained notoriety since then. With writer David Michelinie, Amazing Spider-Man (1990) #329 is part of the Acts of Vengeance story arc. In one of the concluding stories of the story arc, the artist’s pencils with explosive movements and mechanics in full coloring make the comic a true present.
Certainly, Bob Sharen’s coloring matches the action and epic tone of the story arc and the characters and detailed scenery are distinct in explosive backgrounds the panels. In addition, Andy Mushynsky’s thick inking is a highlight of this issue. And Erik Larsen’s pencils of the Captain Universe reveal have added emotion with a burst of cosmic energy. Notably, the proportionate musculature and the detailed background have a sense of surrealism. Moreover, the comic excels at action, adventure, the epic genre and the panel on the left shows the artist’s mastery with composition, action and explosion!
THE FIGHT
Tri-Sentinel has been created by Loki and re-programmed to destroy a nuclear power plant in New York City. Powered into Captain Universe, Cosmic Spider-Man fights to stop the menace.
