SYNOPSIS FOR “A CONTEST OF CHAMPIONS!”
When Krona invades the Marvel Universe seeking answers to the Big Bang, the Grandmaster begins a game to see which universe survives.
In a contest of champions, the JLA and Avengers must gather six items of power from each universe. A battle begins that will determine their fates.

THE ART
To begin, the art is epic art. The artist on the series is George Perez. With writer Kurt Busiek, JLA/Avengers is the last major DC vs Marvel crossover event. In the most important story during the event, the artist’s pencils with heroic physiques and colorful, vibrant backgrounds in full coloring make the comic a true present.
Certainly, the coloring matches the sci-fi and epic tone of the crossover with layered constrast with skin tone, and the colorful costumes add dinstinctiveness. In addition, the inking is notable in this issue. And the larger panels and the ensemble battles create the sense of space and infinity. Notably, the character’s stylistic musculature and expressive physiques have added heroism. Nevertheless, the comic excels at action and the panel on the left shows the artist’s mastery!
