SYNOPSIS FOR “The Supergirl from Krypton, Part 6 of 6: Hero”

Superman is standing before Kara Zor-El’s ashes. Darkseid’s Omega Effect blasted Superman’s cousin, turning her to ashes.

Superman, enraged, engages Darkseid in a vicious battle that will have permanent manconsequences on their rivalry.

‘Superman’s Pal, Jimmy Olsen’ (1970) #134, titled “The Mountain Of Judgment!”, marks the first cameo appearance of Darkseid in DC continuity. Superman foils a bomb attack on the Hairies, Jimmy Olsen and the Newsboys. The attack was from Morgan Edge who received orders from Darkseid.

The issue was created by Jack Kirby and Neal Adams.

	The fight starts out with Superman punching Darkseid with his back turned to the Man of Steel. SUPERMAN BLUNT FORCE ATTACK: 1 DAMAGE PTS.
	On the following page, Superman does a piledrive attack and Darkseid responds with a blow. SUPERMAN CONCUSSION ATTACK: 3 DAMAGE PTS. DARKSEID BLUNT FORCE ATTACK: 1 DAMAGE PT.
	Wonder Woman intervenes and re-directs Darkseid’s Omega Beam. After removing Wonder Woman from the battlefield, Superman dials up the gears. He takes Darkseid to the sun. Both characters trade haymakers near the sun. Finally, Superman gets the upperhand with three punches in the sun. WONDER WOMAN ENERGY MANIPULATION ATTACK: 6 DAMAGE PTS.
