In the Post-Crisis continuity, “Countdown To Final Crisis #2” is the final chapter in the New Gods saga: Orion vs Darkseid. Though their story continues in Final Crisis, the Fourth World is destroyed, the New Gods are dead. Only, they come back in human bodies to herald the Fifth World.
Moreover, the comic is penciled in a Kirby-esque style. Perfectly, it punctuates Darkseid’s and Orion’s vicious fight with large panels and explosions. Definitely, the Comixology format is recommended for this battle.
