To begin, Superman: Last Son had a lasting impact on Superman history and DC continuity. In fact, the Superman: New Krypton storyline and War of the Supermen references the event with Superman’s son, Christopher Kent, joining Thara Ak-Var to both become Nightwing and Flamebird.
Moreover, it re-introduces Superman’s world excellently and in Action Comics Annual 10, we get a Who’s Who of Superman’s Top 10 Most Wanted Rogues. Importantly, visit our DC Hierarchy of Intelligence to find about the 12th Level Intellect.
Really, the 48-page giant annual fills in Superman’s mythos and even gives us a double-page spread of Superman’s Fortress of Solitude. Though an Omnibus is lacking, you can collect Superman: Last Son and each volume of the New Krypton storyline on Amazon.
