THE ART
To begin, the art is avant garde DC art. The artists on the series are Daniel Sampere, Jack Herbert, Giuseppe Camuncoli, Cam Smith and Rafa Sandoval. With writer Joshua Williamson, “Dawn of DC” concludes Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths (2023) and announces the Dawn of DC (2023) event. In the most important story before the event, the artist’s pencils with realistic physiques and dark, vibrant backgrounds in full coloring make the comic a true present.
Certainly, the coloring matches the sci-fi and tragic tone of the story arc with layered constrast with skin tone, and the colorful costumes add dinstinctiveness. In addition, the inking is acceptable in this issue. And the experimental pencils of the ensemble battles create the sense of space and infinity. Notably, the character’s realistic musculature and expressive physiques have added tragedy. Nevertheless, the comic excels at avant garde exposition and the panel on the left shows the artists’ mastery!
