PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Dwayne McDuffie, a writer-producer on the Emmy Award-winning animated series JUSTICE LEAGUE UNLIMITED, joins forces with superstar artist Ed Benes for thrilling new adventures of the World’s Greatest Super Team in this latest hardcover graphic novel collecting the series.

Red Tornado, the Justice League’s resident android, discovers the culprit behind his recent malfunctions and the ensuing confrontation leads to a massive battle between the JLA and one of their oldest adversaries. Meanwhile, Vixen and Animal Man struggle with their own super-abilities and challenge a deadly being who warps the histories of every JLA member. It’s DC’s heaviest hitters as you’ve never seen them before!

Critically, Justice League of America 5: The Second Coming is the action-packed JLA storyline about its popular villains. In fact, the 144-page storyline introduces a new threat with the heroine Vixen out of control.

Together, author Dwayne McDuffie and artist Ed Benes collaborate on the storyline. Really, the writing shines on the teamwork of the JLA and their heroism. Indeed, the art in the book is a Modern DC sci-fi: muscular, empirical but for a teenage audience. In addition, Amazo vs The Justice League Of America.

Indeed, share this comic to fans of Comic-Con, the DC Universe and on the occasions of festivals. Definitely, it is worth its price and will leave you wanting for more Superman! And Amazo!

To begin, Red Tornado is a major character in the Young Justice series. Likewise, he is important in Justice League of America 5: The Second Coming and is suspected to be a mole.

Moreover, this comic introduces a new version of Amazo and an out-of-control Vixen who threatens the JLA. And issue #23 shows the second battle against the JLA in Post-Crisis.

Really, the 144-page issue reads well on the Hardcover format with full coloring and First Edition. Definitely, you will love Vixen’s heroism in discovering her powers and the opposition of the JLA.

POSITIVE CUSTOMER REVIEW

The positive review said: “[…] Vixen is one of those characters that, in my opinion, was always under-utilized, and McDuffie writes her to her full potential. This is a great Justice League story for fans who like action, variety, great dialogue, and seeing lesser known characters shine. […]”

NEGATIVE CUSTOMER REVIEW

There are 2 negative reviews. One negative review criticized the plot: “The second arc in this hardcover is basically a Vixen solo story in the guise of a what if story which involves some ridiculous spider god in her totem. It has no redeeming features other than a brief appearance by Animal Man. The Amazo story, which comprises the first arc, is a more traditional JLA story.”

Overall, this comic was good.

CONCLUSION

POSITIVE:

  • Amazo appearance.
  • Minor characters.
  • Paperback format available.

NEGATIVE:

  • Plot problems.

OUR PRODUCT REVIEW RATING:
