In The Marvels (2023), Brie Larson reprises her role as Captain Marvel and unites with Iman Vellani (Ms. Marvel) and Teyonah Parris (Monica Rambeau) to take on a new Kree revolutionary. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the film’s box office woes forced Disney to change its strategy.
Importantly, the movie’s tagline is based on Captain Marvel (2014) #3 during the All New Marvel NOW! Relaunch. This May 14th, in Marvel history, we celebrate the first appearance of the Sentimault in Captain Marvel #3 and list important first appearances this month.
THE SENTIMAULT FIRST APPEAR CHRONOLOGICALLY AS EXILEES ON TORFA
In Captain Marvel (2014) #3, writer Kelly Sue Deconnick and artist David López collaborate on the eighth volume of Captain Marvel. In a science-fiction story set on Earth-616, Captain Marvel must save the Sentimault from the planet Torfa from the slave labor of the Spartax Empire. Perhaps, the defining story of the series with the introduction of the adapted motto in the title: “”Higher, Further, Faster, More (Part Three)””. According to Comichron, the issue performed with 26,057 unit sales in May 2014.

THE ORIGINAL DEATHLOK MAKES HIS FIRST APPEARANCE
In Astonishing Tales (1974) #25, the cyborg Deathlok makes his first appearance. In a classic issue by Rich Buckler and Doug Moench, U.S. soldier Luther Manning is killed in action. Later, Project Alpha Mech recruits him to create a cyborg. Importantly, the original Deathlok may have inspired Robocop. Moreover, the comic format is also valuable for the Rich Buckler, Klaus Janson and Gaspar Saladino cover featuring the protagonist.

THE LAST APPEARANCE OF TOEI SPIDER-MAN
Perhaps, one of the most popular Spider-Man series, Toei Spider-Man debuted in 1978. In fact, it is set on Earth-51778, with an alternate Spider-Man in Japan named Takuya Yamashiro.
