In 2023, DC Film Studios launched the DC Universe with Blue Beetle (2023). Importantly, the film changed continuity and introduced a new DC Universe. Though, the film was a box office failure and was retconned. In the Post-Crisis universe, DC Comics introduced Jaime Reyes as Blue Beetle II.
This April 20th, the OMAC who appear in the film, made their first appearance in The Omac Project (2005) #1. Today, we celebrate Blue Beetle and first appearances.

IN THE OMAC PROJECT, THE OMAC MAKE THEIR FIRST APPEARANCE
In 2006, writer Geoff Johns, Greg Rucka produced one of the greatest DC comics of all-time. In the Infinite Crisis event, the iconic Rucka introduced Brother Eye in the DC Universe where Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman are divided over moral issues as Alexander Luthor Jr. and Superboy-Prime attempt to restore the perfect Earth. Moreover, the comic is set in the DC multiverse. Importantly, The Omac Project (2005) #1 the OMAC make their first appearance. According to Comichron, The Omac Project #1 was number 20 on the April 2005 Comic Book Sales to Comics Shops with 65,325 unit sales.
