To begin, Justice League Unlimited (2004-2006) popularized the Doug Mahnke storyline with the Season 2 Episode 9 titled “Question Authority.” The storyline changed the status quo in the DC Animated Universe and DC Comics. Luthor is also Secretary General of the United Nations in Young Justice: Outsiders (2019).
Importantly, President Luthor created an uneasy alliance with Superman and the Justice League of America. On Superman’s anniversary of his death, Luthor unleashed Doomsday to kill the Man of Steel.
The graphic novel is acceptable for your collection. You will definitely love the cartoons, the clair-obscur style and the message. Moreover, you can also collect Superman: President Lex (Superman (DC Comics)) by J.M. DeMatteis (2003-07-01) which collects this story.
