To begin, Justice League Odyssey (2018-) #12 is the full resurrection of Darkseid in DC Rebirth continuity. With the members of the Justice League Odyssey possessed, only Jessica Cruz can oppose Darkseid’s reign at Sepulkore.
Really, the comic showcases the heroism of Jessica Cruz’s second battle against Darkseid and her evolution in DC Rebirth into a true hero. In addition, True Form Darkseid is masterful and imposing. Finally, the comic continues the story elements of DC Rebirth such as the imperfections in the DC multiverse.
The comic is good for your DC Rebirth collection. You will definitely love Conrad’s illustrations, Abnett’s elegant writing, and the character designs.

The customer review said: “I haven’t been a huge fan of the way DC has been using Darkseid the last half decade or so. For God knows what reason, they have altered his iconic appearance to make him much more generic looking. He’s also considerably more active and hands on which diminishes his intimidation factor. I was delighted to see that at about the midway point in the comic Darkseid transforms back into his classic look. I haven’t really followed Darkseid’s evolution since he died and came back but great credit to Dan Abnett for bringing him back to where he started.”
