CAPTAIN ATOM IN COMICS
[expand title=”CAPTAIN ATOM’S FIRST APPEARANCE”]Space Adventures (1960) #33, titled “Introducing Captain Adam” marks the first appearance of Captain Atom in DC continuity. The issue tells the origin story of Captain Atom: Allen Adam’s body was vaporized after he was launched in an experimental rocket. However, he survived and was able to re-form his body by using the power of the atom. Donning a special body suit to protect from radiation, he became Captain Atom.
The comic was written by Joe Gill and penciled by Steve Ditko.
