SYNOPSIS FOR “DOOMQUEST”
Iron Man has intercepted a cargo of Stark International electronics sent to Latveria.
After a failed confrontation, Iron Man confronts Doctor Doom in Latveria. In a life or death battle, Iron Man fights Doctor Doom.

VISIT THE COLLECTOR’S ARMOR
BEST MARVEL ILLUSTRATORS
To begin, the art is epic Marvel art. The artist on the series is John Romita Jr. With writers David Michelinie and Bob Layton, Iron Man #149 is part of the Doomquest story arc. In the opening story of the story arc, the artist’s pencils with proportionate physiques and detailed perspective in full coloring make the comic a true present.
Certainly, Bob Sharen’s coloring matches the sci-fi and epic tone of the story arc and the characters and detailed scenery are distinct in the panels. In addition, Bob Layton’s thick inking is a highlight of this issue. And Romita Jr.’s pencils of the Iron Man-Doctor Doom battle have added emotion despite their armors. Notably, their proportionate musculature and the perspective from the background have a sense of realism. Moreover, the comic excels at drama, exposition straight from a movie and the panel on the left shows the artist’s mastery with composition and action!
THE FIGHT
Iron Man must stop a government conspiracy by Doctor Doom as the villain plots for a coup d’etat in Latveria.
