In the Marvel Universe, the strongest heroes are gods, aliens, cyborgs and superhumans. Super strength appears primarily to be a super power gained in addition to other super powers either by accident, enchantment, science or alien physiology. In particular, super strength is the result of being a god, mutant, alien or superhuman. The strongest heroes such as Thor or HULK, perform feats of super strength in difficult situations. By our standards, the strongest heroes display the potential for infinite strength. This list ranks them according to their greatest feats of super strength.

TOP 10 MARVEL HEROES AND VILLAINS

1. HERCULES

In the Olympian mythology, the heavens are the realm where the gods dwell and a potentially infinite dimension. In ‘Incredible Hercules’ (2008) #121, Hercules lifted the heavens to complete his Eleventh Labor. Here, Hercules demonstrated potentially infinite super strength. This feat has been talked about on the Internet and is the reason why Hercules deserves the top spot on this list.

In ‘Secret Wars II’ (1986) #8, the multiversal entity known as the Beyonder stated Hulk has the potential for unlimited super strength. At ScreenRant, Jose Caraballo tells a BRONZE AGE Hulk story. In a plot to defeat the Avengers, Kang the Conqueror theorizes the superhero team banded together in order to stop the Hulk. To this end, Kang travels from the 41st century to the present day Hulk.

Slyly, he tricks and recruits Hulk to time travel to World War I in order to prevent the Phantom Eagle from destroying an Axis super cannon. The effect would be to destroy a town where Hulk’s ancestors live thereby, preventing Hulk’s existence. During the time travel, the Green Goliath is caught in a time storm. Incredibly, In general relativity, time travel requires an infinite amount of energy. This is definitely an infinite super strength feat.

Sentry has been stated to possess the power of a million exploding suns and was introduced to be Marvel’s version of SUPERMAN. Over the years, Sentry has shown the potential for limitless power. During “Siege,” he briefly took on Thor and the Avengers assembled. While discovering his powers, he demolecularized the Molecule Man who has the powers of the Beyonders on the Multiversal scale. But what about super strength?

During “To Avenge The Earth” storyline, a reborn Sentry was brought in to save the day. To prepare against the coming of Exitar the Celestial, who was stomping the Earth, Rogue had to absorb the powers of the Avengers, X-Men, and various other superheroes. With those powers, Rogue was able to slow the descent of only one of Exitar’s feet. Proving he is stronger than all the heroes combined, Sentry was able to hold the other foot on his own super strength.

Considering the Celestials weigh 260 tons or more, slowing down their descent in free fall shows the potential for infinite strength.

Thor investigates and finds out about a Worldengine in New York tampering with Yggdrasil.

In a twist, it has convinced the World Tree that Ragnarok has already come and that Thor must be erased. In reality, the Worldengine forced Yggdrasil to bring about Ragnarok. Pushing himself past his limits, Thor pushed the Worldengine in order to push the nine worlds back to their original position and prevent Ragnarok.

Is Stormbreaker more powerful than Mjolnir? To this day, Beta Ray Bill remains Thor’s truest brother-in-arms. What makes Beta Ray Bill so powerful is that he is as worthy of Mjolnir as Thor is. In the comics, Stormbreaker is at least Mjolnir’s equal. Considering that Mjolnir’s worthiness enchantment is half of Thor’s power that means Mjolnir has at least Universal Level of power.
